Today we ventured to Marble Falls, TX for a family field trip. Katie, Khai, and Andrew met us at Sweet Berry Farm so that we could get some good pictures of the boys in the pumpkin patch, but we ended up doing more than just that. First, we let the boys get acquianted with the local goats. Landon had fun feeding them grass and letting them nibble on his hands. Then, he went to pet the horses. He continued making his "horse noise" for some time afterward. After the animals, we piled onto the trailer for our "private" hayride. I say "private" because we were the only people on the hayride. The ride took us to the other side of the farm where they have rows and rows of beautiful flowers and scarecrows dressed up in different settings (for example: the fisherman, the hunter, etc.) They also had more goats and chickens on this side. The lovely Texas heat started to beat down on us, so we headed back to the other side of the farm where we got homemade pumpkin ice cream and homemade strawberry popsicles. They were delicious. The trip ended with a great lunch at The Bluebonnet Cafe. We are already looking forward to going to Sweet Berry Farm next fall!
